Hello, my name is Gerardine Ryan and I started my career as a aesthetician and have acquired many modalities over the years. I am an award-winning oncology aesthetician and skin consultant having spent over 33 years crafting my skills and knowledge into the creation of what is now Allwoman.
Allwoman specialise in Oncology Beauty, Skincare, Cosmetics, Hand – Foot Care & Personalised Care with Pre-Packed Hospital Bags & Gift Care Boxes to gift to people living with and beyond Cancer.
We also provide for the beauty needs of women going through peri-menopause, menopause and pregnancy with skincare, cosmetics and personal care products.
Nurse Nora’s Story
I will take you back to a most memorable moment in my career, indeed in my life. This was when a young lady called Nora came to me as a client, she just returned from the United Kingdom after working there for many years.
We quickly built up a beautiful client – therapist relationship and she came regularly to me for her facials and the chats. I had guessed she was unwell and shortly after she told me she was terminally ill.
Despite her prognosis Nora looked forward to our chats and her treatment each week. We became great friends. We spoke about many things, she taught me a lot. She told me she was an oncology nurse at the height of her career but ironically she got cancer and it was terminal.
Little did I know that Nurse Nora would plant a seed for me, I was nurturing a passion to work with those living with and beyond cancer and I didn’t realise it until many years later.This special seed grew and blossomed for me into what is now Allwoman.
I know without Nora, I most likely would have tired of beauty therapy. For me the therapy was being lost and replaced by unattainable trends, people wanting to look like somebody else. But thankfully Nora showed me a pathway where my skills would be called upon. She created the spark, which has led me to the most satisfied I have ever been in my professional life, a life I now spend helping others.I hope this small insight into my life as an oncology aesthetician demonstrates my determination and devotion to help in any way I can, people living with and beyond cancer. If I can make a small difference that will assist navigating the skin related side effects of treatment, that’s very worthwhile to me.
There is a wonderful quote which reads “I don’t have to be perfect, I just have to be me”. This quote sums it up, our confidence and self-esteem is the essence of who we are, it’s our dignity. It is very important to all of us and is non-negotiable!

Having experience working with a large multi national company manufacturing skincare and cosmetics Gerardine was more convinced that a natural organic product was something she would prefer for herself and her family to use. She would like to see more natural ingredient being used in the industry. Allwoman believe that the use of cleaner product will result in limiting the amount of toxins and chemicals entering our blood stream. We share these core values with our customer and strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible by sourcing product that use the very best that nature has to offer.

Why was Allwoman set up?
After working for three decades in the beauty industry, I was acutely aware that there was a lack of consideration for people living with and beyond cancer as far as beauty and suitable products were concerned. Indeed, I learned first-hand from my own clients who themselves were going through cancer that the adapted therapies and products were just not there. I was very moved by this realization and motivated to do all I could. I decided that by combining my knowledge and skills, I could very easily offer solutions.
My solution was to offer a choice a Gift Care Box and Pre-Packed Hospital Gift Care Bag containing beauty, skincare and cosmetics. A One Stop Shop would mean that a combination of product depending on the area to be treated could be bought in one single purchase.
One’s confidence and self esteem is very important to us all, and it is the essence of who we are!!! So therefore when our personal appearance is altered during surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy this can be upsetting for any individual.
I am looking forward to offering the best products available, with particular emphasis on those products recommended for use while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments, menopause and pregnancy to soothe and nourish the skin.
