Inspired by the delicious and intense flavours of traditional Indian masala spice blends used to flavour and enhance black tea, Emma’s new Masala Chai candles and wax tart melts contain a luxurious pure essential oil blend of the warm, exotic, spicy tones of Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger and Cardamon.
Masala is a mixture of spices, and Chai is simply the Hindi word for tea. Historically Indians viewed tea as a herbal medicine rather than as a recreational beverage and some of the chai masala spice mixtures, that are still in current use are derived from Ayurvedic medical texts.
Pure essential oils give a naturally delicate, clean fragrance and offer many healing benefits: Cinnamon leaf oil, has a warm, spicy musky smell and is warming and uplifting, Clove-bud oil is also warm, spicy and stimulating. Cardamon has a sweet and balsamic fragrance and is refreshing while Ginger is strong and energising.

Trim Wick to 5mm before lighting. Keep candle free of foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Always burn candle within sight, on a level, fire resistant surface, and away from drafts, soft furnishings, vibrations, children and animals. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Due to the high content of natural essential oils, and fluctuating storage temperatures, occasionally some oils may leak to the top of the candle, simply wipe this away and enjoy your candle as normal. Avoid skin Contact with pure essential oils.
